John Panagiotou, 82, passed away Tuesday, May 21, 2013 at the Worcester Rehabilitation Healthcare Center in Worcester.
He leaves his wife of 44 years, Evangelia (Toufa) Panagiotou, 2 sons; George Panagiotou and his wife Amy and Kostas Panagiotou all of Webster, 4 grandchildren; Ashleigh, Kaitlyn, Matthew and Olivia, 2 brothers; Steve Pano and his wife Addie of Port Richey, FLA., and Aristotelis Panagiotou and his wife Gloria of Shrewsbury and many nieces and nephews. John was predeceased by sisters, Aphrodite and Alexandra and a brother, Panos Yiotis.
John was born in Leskoviki, Albania a son of Apostolos and Victoria (Tsine) Panagiotou and came to this country in 1962. He worked for many years at the former Maanexit spinning Co. and the former Anglo Fabrics Co. before retiring in 1996. John was a member of Sts. Constantine & Helen Greek Orthodox Church. He enjoyed gardening with his wife, spending time with his family and grandchildren, socializing with his many friends and acquaintances. He will always be remembered for his smile.
The family would like to thank all the staff of Summit Elder Care and Radius of Worcester and the Visiting Nurses of Southern Worcester County for all the care provided to John.
The Funeral will be Saturday, May 25, 2013 with a Service at 12 Noon in Sts. Constantine & Helen Greek Orthodox Church, 35 Lake Parkway, burial will follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery.
Calling Hours for John will be Friday, May 24, 2013 from 4 to 7 PM in The ROBERT J. MILLER FUNERAL HOME and LAKE CHAPEL, 366 School St. A Trisagion Service will be at 6 PM Friday in the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions may be made to: Sts. Constantine & Helen Greek Orthodox Church, P.O. Box 713, Webster, MA. 01570.
