Obituary

Run Prak, 88, of Brockton, Massachusetts, passed away on Monday, May 20, 2013 in Good Samaritan Hospital of Stoughton, Massachusetts. She died peacefully in her sleep surrounded by close relatives.



She was born in Takéo Province of Cambodia on May 10, 1925, the third-born child of the late Koung Prak and Ewe Prak. She was married to the late Prof. Ngeth Long, with whom she had seven children. Mrs. Prak devoted her life to her children and family and was a tireless homemaker. She moved to the United States with her family in 1984 following the incidents of the Cambodian Civil War. She lived the remainder of her life in the South Shore of Massachusetts.



She is survived by four daughters, Sary Lugo of Brockton, MA, Narom Long of Brockton, MA, Borey Long of Weymouth, MA, and Sareth Chum of Lowell, MA; two sons, Saphay Long of Brockton, MA, and Sophat Long of Peabody, MA. She was predeceased by her eldest son, Sophann Long. She also has several grandchildren whom she loved dearly.

A wake will be held Friday, May 24, 2013 at South Shore Baptist Church, 578 Main Street, Hingham, MA from 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm. Funeral services will be held 10:00 am -11:00 am on Saturday, May 25, 2013 at the same location. A procession to Fairmount Cemetery in Weymouth will immediately follow.
