Armand H. Vanasse, 81, of Manchester, died August 13, 2004 at the Elliot Hospital.
He was born in Manchester on June 20, 1923 the son of Nestor and Clara (Ruel) Vanasse. He was educated in the local school system.
During WWII, he served in the US Army
Until his retirement, Mr. Vanasse was employed by Osram-Sylvania. Prior to that, he had been employed by J.F. McElwain Shoe Factory for over 30 years. He was also the owner and operator of Vanasse Antennae Service.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and was a long-time member of Derryfield Country Club.
He was pre-deceased by one daughter, Diane Vanasse. He was a former communicant of Sacred Heart Church.
Members of his family include his wife of 58 years Irene (Lafond) Vanasse of Manchester; Two sons, Ronald Vanasse of Hooksett and Robert Vanasse of Deerfield; Four grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; One brother Roger Vanasse of Lady Lakes, Florida; One sister, Mary Jane Savoy of Zephyr Hills, FL; Nephews and nieces.
A mass of Christian burial was celebrated in Sacred Heart Church on Tuesday August 17, 2004. Burial followed in St. Augustin Cemetery.
