Joseph E. Grabowski, 84, of Englewood, FL passed away on May 20, 2013 at Doctor’s Hospital in Sarasota, FL. Mr. Grabowski was born in Boston, MA on December 2, 1928, a son of the late Joseph L. and Helen (Mulholland) Grabowski. He had been a resident of Englewood since 1997, formerly living in Londonderry, NH. Mr. Grabowski worked as a machinist for many years prior to his retirement in 1988. He was a wonderfully skilled billiard player and a devout Red Sox fan. A loving husband and father, he was a communicant of St. Raphael Church.
He is survived by his four daughters, Lynn Raymond of Englewood, Paula Gosselin of Manchester, NH, JoAnn Smolen of Gainesville, FL, Lisa Anderson of Englewood, two sons, Thomas J. Grabowski of Topsham, ME, and Joseph D. Grabowski of Sanford, FL, one sister, Helen Roderick of Methuen, MA, 15 grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, Pauline, his two sons, Larry and Kenneth and by one grandson, Ricky.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday May 23, 2013 from 6 – 8 pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry, NH. A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 10:00am in Holy Cross Church, 187 Hampstead Rd., Derry. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery, W. Roxbury, MA.
