Phillip “Steve” Jones, 71, passed away Thursday May 16, 2013 at the Hosparus Inpatient Care Center.
Steve was born in Louisville to Clarence & Elnora (Roberson) Jones.
He was the Owner/Operator of Jones Service Center (small engine repair) for many years, and a member of Lees’ Lane Baptist Church. He was a U.S. Army Veteran.
Steve was preceded in death by his Parents, Daughter: Brenda Welsh; Granddaughter: Jillian Snipp and a Sister: Judy Wayne.
Survivors include his loving wife of 54 years, Carolyn R. (Lykins) Jones; 3 Daughters: Linda Snipp (Pat), Kimberly Gant (David) and Rebecca Sanders (Marty); 10 Grandchildren and 10 Great Grandchildren; Daughter # 5: Barbara Tucker (Rick); and Son-In-Law: Cliff Welsh.
Funeral Services will be 11:00 AM Monday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Hwy., with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will Sunday 2 – 8 PM
