William "Bill" Owen Huntzinger, Sr. 68 of Anderson died May 13, 2013 at St. Vincent Anderson Regional Hospital.
Born January 12, 1945 in Anderson, IN to Alva Owen and Alma (Singer) Huntzinger, graduated from Anderson High School and served in the U.S. Army.
He worked production at Delphi for 40 years before retiring in 2004.
He was a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles and American Legion. He was an avid reader and loved to socialize; loved his grandkids and was an equipment manager for Franklin Little League.
Survivors include his wife, Charlotte (Hall) Huntzinger of Anderson whom he married in Middletown, on June 25, 1971; three children, William Owen (Martina) Huntzinger, Jr. of Columbia, SC; Elizabeth Ann "Beth" (Paul) James of Anderson and Michael Reeder of Lake Charles, Louisiana; five grandchildren, Jannina Huntzinger; Jakayla (Jason) Bader; Dwight (Penny) James; Chloe James and Hayden Huntzinger; several nieces and nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, step son, Craig Alan Reeder and a great grandson Skylar Huntzinger.
Service will be at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, May 20, 2013 at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Ned Clark officiating. Burial will be in East Maplewood Cemetery VFW Post 266 Honor Guard will provided military graveside rites. Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 P.M. on Sunday, May 19, 2013 at the funeral home with an Eagle's memorial service at 7:30 P.M.
Memorial contributions may be given to American Diabetes Association.
