Obituary

Anne A. (Laukaitis) Harrison of Natick died on Monday, May 13, 2013 at the Mary Ann Morse Nursing & Rehabilitation Center of Natick at the age of 96.

A daughter of the late John & Mary (Zaperackas) Laukaitis, she was born at Union Terrace in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Her mother died when she was about 11 years old and a few years later her father became an invalid with a spinal injury. So, at a young age, Anne took on the responsibilities of housekeeper and caregiver. She was mature for her age and married George Harrison when she was 18 years old. They were married for 45 years and together they took care of Anne’s father until his death. She had the beauty and poise of a movie star, but without the aloofness. She made friends easily and at all social levels. Professionally, she worked as a saleperson in fashionable boutiques in Boston and Wellesley and patrons valued her advice and appreciated her graciousness. Perhaps her most admirable quality was her loyalty to family and friends. Anne was always available with a helping hand and her empathy was sincere. She will be dearly missed but memories of her will always rekindle happy moments of the past. So goodbye “Annie Girl” and thanks for the memories.

She is survived by her brother Edward Laukaitis & his wife Doris of San Diego, California, three nieces & four nephews. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, May 16th at 1:00PM in Mt. Benedict Cemetery, 409 Corey St., West Roxbury, Massachusetts.
