Mr. Marc LaPointe, of Taunton, died unexpectedly Monday, May 13 at his residence. He was born 55 years ago in Taunton, the son of the late Edmund F. “Sam” and Therese “Terry” (Hebert) LaPointe. He was educated in Taunton, having graduated from Taunton High School in 1975, and had been a city resident for most of his life. Marc moved to California in 1979. He was employed by Kelly Services Automotive Warehouse as a supervisor in Santa Cruz for 13 years. He was previously employed in the automotive service field for several firms in California. Marc returned to Taunton in 2005 when his mother became ill. He was formerly employed by NAPA Auto Parts in Taunton for a number of years. He began working as a young man at the former Hickey’s Diner in Taunton. He enjoyed socializing with his friends at the Polish-American Citizens Club, puttering around his yard, and was an avid sports fan – anything and everything to do with sports. Marc was a communicant of the former St. Jacques Parish in Taunton.
He leaves: 1 brother: Robert LaPointe of Taunton, an aunt, several cousins, and many friends.
Visiting Hours will be held at The Riendeau-Mulvey Funeral Home, 467 Bay Street, on Thursday, May 23 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. A Prayer Service will follow at 8:00 P.M. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Expressions of sympathy in his memory may be made to the charity of your choice.
