Mary (Athayde) Agnew, 73, of Salem, NH died Saturday, May 11th at Holy Family Hospital in Methuen.
Mary was born and educated in Methuen, the daughter of the late (Elzira) and Manuel Athayde. She graduated from Tenney High School and the Lawrence General Hospital School of Nursing. She worked for Dr. Land for many years. Mary enjoyed dancing, going out to eat and she was an avid Patriots and Red Sox fan.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Agnew of Salem, her stepsons, Donald Agnew and his wife Brenda of Haverhill, MA and Jeffrey Agnew and his wife Marie of Bedford, NH, her stepdaughter, Lori and her husband John Gattie of Plaistow, NH, her brothers, Edward Athayde and his wife Hazel of Yarmouthport, MA and William Athayde of Assonet, MA, 2 nieces and a nephew.
Calling hours are on Friday, May 17th from 3:00 - 6:00PM at Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main Street, Salem, NH 03079. The Funeral Service will follow at 6:00PM at the Funeral Home.
