Constance “Connie” Azzalina, age 84, of Stoneham, passed away Wednesday, August 11th, following a lengthy illness. She was the beloved wife of Joseph A. Azzalina. Born in Messina, Italy she was the daughter of the late Francesco and Maria (Lanci) Allitto.
Connie was a Stoneham resident for the past nine years. She was formerly from Medford and Boston´s West End. Connie was a devoted mother and homemaker, she also enjoyed singing and playing piano.
In addition to her husband she is survived by two children, Andy Azzalina and his wife Darlene Hurd-Azzalina of Plaistow, NH and Kathy Starr and her husband Michael of Revere. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Lisa and Laura Azzalina, Brad and Allison Hurd. She is further survived by her brothers, Carmen Allitto of East Boston and Charles Allitto of Woburn, sisters, Nina Antonucci of Revere and Sarah Biondo of Arlington.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Saturday at 9 AM. Followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Clement Church 71 Warner St. Medford, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Friday 2-4 & 7-9. Services will conclude with burial at Lindenwood Cemetery, Stoneham.
