Susan C. (Allen) Roberts, age 59, passed away on Thursday, May 9, 2013 surrounded by her family and friends at Mercy Medical Center. She was born on Aug. 26, 1953 in Springfield. She was the daughter of the late William J. and Judith (Kearns) Allen. Susan loved to read and enjoyed family and friend get-togethers. She was a manager and waitress for 30 years at Abdow’s Restaurant in West Springfield. She is predeceased by her husband Thomas Roberts who passed away in 2007. She leaves 2 sons, Jason and Jeffrey Roberts of Agawam; a daughter Kristie Roberts of Agawam; her uncle Robert F. Kearns and his wife Mary of Newton, MA; 4 brothers, David Allen of Holland, MA, Mark Allen of Brookfield, CT, Robert Allen of Agawam and William Allen of East Longmeadow; 2 sisters, Mary Humel of Chicopee and Kathleen Beck of Hoosick Falls, NY; one granddaughter, Bryanna Roberts and many nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, May 14, 2013 from 4-7 p.m. at the Grise Funeral Home, 280 Springfield St, Chicopee. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 15th at 9 a.m. from the Grise Funeral Home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Mary Mother of Hope Church at 10 a.m. with burial to follow in St Michaels Cemetery.
