Delia (Motta) Lawrence age 94, of Somerset, passed away May 4, 2013. Born in Fall River, she was the wife of the late Joseph D. Lawrence and the daughter of the late Antone C. and Jacintha (Soares Rua) Motta. Prior to retiring, Delia worked for Narry Mfg. She was a parishioner of St. John of God Church and a member of the Women’s Guild, Prayer Meeting and Holy Rosary Society. She was also a member of the Somerset Senior Citizens Club and of the John Arruda Seniors Club of Somerset.
Delia was the mother of Judith A. Figuerado of Hollywood, FL; the grandmother of Randy of Hollywood, FL and Kristen of Lake Worth, FL; great grandmother of Nicole, Jennifer & Leia; great-great grandmother of Emily & Kaylee. She was the sister of the late Manuel, Antone & Sylvester Motta and Mary (Motta) Cruz.
Her funeral will take place from the MANUEL ROGERS & SONS FUNERAL HOME, INC. 1521 N. Main St. Fall River SATURDAY at 8:00 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. John of God Church at 9:00 A.M. Interment in Greenwood Cemetery. Calling hours FRIDAY 4-7 P.M. www.rogersfuneral.com.
