William Monroe “Butch” Ellis, Jr., 53, passed away Monday, May 6, 2013 at Jewish Hospital. He was a retired automotive technician, a member of Abraham Masonic Lodge #8, the Wayfarers Masonic Riders Assoc. and Baptist by faith. He is survived by his loving wife of 6 years, Kathleen B. (Carnforth) Ellis; his children, Rebecca and Amanda Ellis; his mother, Jane Ellis; step-children, Kayla, Joey and Eric Allen; Brothers, Brian and Brad Ellis and sisters Sherry Hardin (Randy), Cindy Ellis Baumgardner; three grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. His funeral will be 10am Thursday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Hwy with burial at Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be 5pm to 9pm on Wednesday.
