Elizabeth W. Ingelsby,95, of Davie, Florida, formerly of Smithfield, RI, died Wednesday, May 1, 2013 in Boynton Beach, Florida.Elizabeth was the wife of the late Frank Ingelsby and Archibald Barcey. Born in Smithfield, a daughter of the late Edgar, Jr. and Elizabeth (McGrory) Williams,she lived in Smithfield before moving to Florida.
Mrs. Ingelsby was a ward secretary at St. Joseph’s Hospital in North Providence until her retirement. She was a 50 year member of the Greenville Baptist Church, a member of Betsy Williams Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star, a member of the Greenville Grange, a Civil Air Patrol advisor, a volunteer at Westside Regional Hospital (formerly Bennett Hospital), and a member of the Town of Davie Citizens Observer Patrol.
She is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth Rhodes and her husband, James of Boynton Beach, FL; grandsons, Michael Pelletier and his wife, Susan of Leesburg, FL, Mark Pelletier and his wife, Shannon of Smithfield, RI; great grandchildren, Matthew Pelletier, Sara Laporte and Elizabeth Pelletier; a brother, Ralph Williams and his wife, Martha of North Kingston and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Chester, Edgar “Bunty”, Henry, Gertrude and Ruth Willliams and Lucille Farrar and Hazel Battey.
Private Funeral Services were held. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Greenville Rescue, 607 Putnam Pike, Greenville, RI 02828.
