LEICESTER: Roslyn M. (Ritacco) Lavoie, 89, of Rawson Street died Wednesday, April 24 in the Worcester Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center.
Her husband Alfred L. Lavoie, Sr. died in 2002. She leaves her son Alfred L. Lavoie, Jr. and his wife Cheryl of Leicester, with whom she lived, a daughter Carol M. Lavoie of East Brookfield, three grandsons Anthony, Alex & Tyler, a nephew George J. Bosco of Worcester and a niece Antoinette DiMashe. She was pre-deceased by a brother George Bosco and three sisters Antoinette Lutfy, Helen Samaha and Marie Dellesanta.
Mrs. Lavoie was born in Worcester, daughter of Michael and Rose (Pepper) Ritacco. She was a former member of St. Margaret Mary Parish. She enjoyed cooking and cleaning. The family would like to thank the staff at Blackstone Healthcare especially Tina & Angela for their compassionate care and also the staff at Worcester Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center.
A Memorial Mass will be held Thursday, May 9 at 10:00 AM in St. Pius X Church, 1163 Main Street, Leicester. Burial will follow in St. John’s Cemetery, Worcester. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Alzheimer’s Association of MA/NH, 480 Pleasant Street, Watertown, MA 02472.
