Donald E. Langelier, age 85, passed away on Thursday, April 25, 2013 at Baystate Medical Center. He was born on July 13, 1927 in Holyoke MA. He was a son of the late Francois and Marie Jean (Champagne) Langelier. Donald was a communicant of the former Holy Name of Jesus Church. Donald was a WWII Navy Veteran. He later worked as a Lithographic Printer for many years before he retired. He was a life time member of the William F. Davitt Post #625 V.F.W. in Chicopee. Donald was an avid model airplane builder and carpenter. He leaves his loving wife of 60 years, Patricia (Peloquin) Langelier of Chicopee; a son Kenneth Langelier of Colorado; 2 daughters, Lisa Langelier of Springfield, MA and Donna Deprey and her husband Normand of Granby; one sister, Yvette Donikowski of Lake Mary, FL ; 10 grandchildren along with several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his son Daniel Langelier who passed away in 2006. A funeral service will be held on Monday, April 29, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at the Grise Funeral Home, 280 Springfield St, Chicopee. Calling hours will be held on the day of the funeral from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home followed by burial at the MA Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Agawam. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Baystate VNA and Hospice, 50 Maple St, Springfield, MA 01103.
