Obituary

Laconia-----Charles “Mac” Keysar, 82, formerly of 10 Carver Street, died on Friday, May 3, 2013 at his daughter’s home on Emerald Drive.
Mac was born January 29, 1931 in Colebrook, N.H., the son of the late Jesse and Jessie (McAllister) Keysar. He served in the New Hampshire National Guard and had been a resident of Laconia for over sixty years. He had been employed by IBM for thirty years before retiring in 1987.
Mac was an active and long time member of the First United Methodist Church and was a co-founder of the free Christmas dinner at the Church. He was active in the Boy Scouts of America as well as the Streetcar Co. and was a drummer for several local bands.
Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Jessica K. & Scott Alward of Laconia and two grandchildren, Braeden Alward and Riley Alward all of Laconia; a sister, Betty Hounsell, of Conway and many nephews and nieces. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Barbara “Maude” (Woodbury) Keysar, who died in 2004.
There will be no calling hours.
A Memorial Service will be held at the First United Methodist Church, 18 Wesley Way, Gilford, N.H. on Thursday, May 9, 2013 at 11:00AM. Rev. Dr. Victoria Wood Parrish, Pastor of the Church, will officiate.
