Manuel Ferreira, 93 of Fall River, passed away on May 3, 2013. He was the husband of the late Justina Ferreira (daCosta) Ferreira. Born in Braga, Portugal, he was the son of the late Joaquim and Perpetua Cardoso Ferreira. Prior to retiring, Manuel worked as a maintenance man for Joan Fabrics.
He is survived by his 3 daughters: Perpetua Costa Forte, her husband Antonio, Custodia Gomes, her husband Abel, and Maria F. DaSilva, her husband Victor all of Fall River; 7 siblings; 3 late siblings, 8 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; step grandchildren, step great grandchildren and many nieces & nephews. He was the grandfather of the late John M. Costa.
His funeral will take place from the MANUEL ROGERS & SONS FUNERAL HOME, INC. 1521 N. Main St., Fall River on TUESDAY at 8:00 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in SS. Peter & Paul Parish at Holy Cross Church, Pulaski St., Fall River at 9:00 A.M. Interment in St. Patrick Cemetery. Calling hours on MONDAY 6-8 P.M.
