Louis A. Argenzio 76, of Brockton died May 2, 2013 after a brief illness. He is the husband of Jean (Coscia) and son of the late Joseph and Carmella (Accomando) Argenzio. Louis was born and raised in East Boston, lived for some time after getting married in Winthrop before moving to Brockton in 1976. He was a 1954 graduate from Boston English High School and a 1959 graduate of Northeastern University . Louis was a longtime National Guard Reservist achieving the rank of 2nd Lieutenant. He had several occupations over his working career; first as vice president for the former Shawmut Bank in East Boston; then the Coca Cola Company for 25 years before his retirement. Following retirement he went to work for Bagnell Auto Parts. He will be remembered as a hardworking man who took great pride in caring for others, family and friends alike. He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather.
In addition to his wife he is survived by his children Lisa J. Costello and her husband Kenneth of Raynham, Deborah Cummings of Brockton and Louis J. and his wife Kathryn of Bridgewater; his brother Anthony Argenzio of Mansfield and his grandchildren Matthew and Melissa Costello, Joshua and Amanda Cummings, Aaliyah and Davina Wright and Olivia and Gabriel Argenzio. He was also brother to the late Amelia Ferrara.
Visitation Tuesday 5-8pm in the Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton. A procession will form at the funeral home Wednesday at 8am for a funeral mass in Our Lady of Lourdes Church at 9am. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Stoughton.
