Obituary

Victor R. “ BOB “ Lodi, a United States Marine Corps Veteran of WWII and 45 year resident of Stoughton passed away on Sunday April 28, 2013 at the Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton. He was 84 years old. He is survived by his sister Elizabeth A. Lodi of Stoughton. He was also a brother to the late James A. Lodi, David J. Lodi and Margaret V. Ainslie.

Born on January 7, 1928 in Quincy, Massachusetts Victor was a son to the late Cesare J. Lodi and Elizabeth M. ( Otis ) Lodi. He attended Quincy Public Schools and Quincy High School.

PFC Lodi Honorably served his country as a Marksman with the United States Marine Corps during World War II. He was the recipient of both the Good Conduct Medal and the China Service Medal.

He enjoyed gardening and walking.

His funeral service will be held on Tuesday May 7, 2013 at 9:30 A.M. in the Sheehan, Lowe & Powers Funeral Home, 115 Monk Street, Stoughton. Deacon Patrick E. Guerrini, officiating. Burial will follow at the Massachusetts Veterans National Cemetery in Bourne, MA at 11:15 A.M. All are welcome to attend. Visiting hours have been omitted. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Town Of Stoughton/ Veteran’s Services Department, ATTN: Veteran’s Agent Michael Pazyra, 10 Pearl Street, Stoughton,MA 02072 in Victor’s memory, would be appreciated.
