Hazael Alvin Albert, 86, of Jeffersontown passed away Friday, May 3, 2013 at Glen Ridge Health Care Campus
Having been born and raised in Jeffersontown and attending the original Jeffersontown High School. Hazael has been a life time member of the Jeffersontown United Methodist Church and was also a volunteer for the Jeffersontown Fire Department, Hazael founded Albert Oil Company in the early 1960’s and had the honor of working along side of his sons.
He was preceded in death by his mother Frances Tucker Albert Floore and father Alvin Bernard Albert, his wife of 61 years LaVerne Schindler Albert, his grandson, Chris Albert, granddaughter, Kasey Weber and two great grandsons, Preston and Jayden Mason.
He is survived by his sons, Barry Albert (Sondra), Terry Albert and Dennis Albert (Connie), daughters, Sheryl LaMaster (Jim) of Sellersburg, IN, Karen Mason (Don), Susan Kaelin (Allen), Cindy Barnes (Don) of Valparaiso, IN and Donna Weber (Kim) as well as 21 grandchildren and 33 great-Grandchildren
Funeral service celebrating Hazael’s life will be 10 am, Monday at Owen Funeral Home – Jeffersontown, 9318 Taylorsville Rd. Jeffersontown with burial to follow is St. Edward Cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will be from 2-8 pm, Sunday at Owen Funeral Home Jeffersontown.
The family wishes to thank the staff at Glen Ridge Health Campus for this care during the last 4 ½ years and also Hospaus for their help during his last days of life.
