Thomas Greene, 64, of Benton, NH and formerly of Medway died Friday, May 3, 2013 at the Milford Regional Medical Center from complications of a recent fall at his home. He was the loving husband of 43 years to Diane (LeBlanc) Greene.
Born in Natick on October 8, 1948, he was the son of the late Walter and Florence (Matondi) Greene.
Thomas was a resident of Medway until 2006, when he moved to Benton, NH for his retirement.
Thomas graduated from Medway High School in 1968. He proudly served in the Army during the Vietnam War from 1968-1971.
Before his retirement, he was an area manager at Ecolabs for 25 years.
Thomas was a member of the American Legion in Medway and the Ross Post in Woodsville, NH. He enjoyed gardening, canning and carving wooden bears.
Thomas cherished his family and most of all his grandchildren.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his daughter Darla Prentice and her husband David of Medway, his son Thomas Greene Jr. and his wife Susan of Douglas and three grandchildren, Alyssa and Kaitlin Whitaker and Jordan Prentice.
He is also survived by his brother Walter Greene Jr. of Medway, three sisters, Frances Maxwell and her husband Leonard of Waldoboro, ME, Pamela Welter of Milford and Sandra Davidson of Medway and his beloved dog, Molly.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral on Wednesday, May 8 at 9:00 a.m. from the Ginley Crowley Funeral Home, 3 Barber St. in Medway (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com) followed by a funeral Mass at St. Brendan Church, 382 Hartford Ave. in Bellingham at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Medway.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 4 - 8 p.m.
