Obituary

Najem Hammond Kaassamany, 71, of Brockton Massachusetts, passed away on Saturday, April 28, 2013 at the Good Samaritan Hospital. Najem was born on January 01, 1942 in Baakline Lebanon, to the late Mr. Hammond Assad Kaassamany and Mrs. Wassima Hassam Kaassamany. He attended Baakline high school in Lebanon.

Najem leaves his wife, Adal Ahmad Kaassamany, and his children, Rosulia Kaassamany Sagun, Mahal Al-Kassamany, Nagham Al-Kassamany and Marcel Kaassamany. He also leaves his grandchildren, John Edward, Jaleel Sagun, Adam El, Lailamar Timani, Daniela, Diana and Eva Jabar and his brfothers Massif Al and Yousef Kassamany of Lebanon. Jimmy, as he was affectionately called by his friends, leaves behind nieces, nephews, a large extended family and friends who love and are going to miss him immensely.

Najem's passion for life lied with the love he had for his family. He was a self-employed businessman in Liberia for 20 yrs. He enjoyed hunting and gardening. Najem returned to his homeland Lebanon in 1980 where he lived his life as a farmer mostly in Olive crop before moving to Brockton in 2004.

Visiting hours will be held in the Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont Street (Rte. 123) Brockton on Friday 5-8 pm. A funeral service will be celebrated in the funeral home on Saturday at 10:30 am followed by burial in Melrose Cemetery.
