Whitman - Richard F. Vezina 72 of Whitman, MA passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday April 24, 2013.
Born in Rockland, MA in 1941, he was the son of the late Edmund and Minnie (Loura) Vezina.
He was the husband of late Bonnie (Lindsey) Vezina of Whitman, MA, where they had lived for many years before returning to Vermont. He returned to MA in 2008.
He was a graduate Whitman High Class of 1958, and worked most of his adult life as a carpenter.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing and car racing. His favorite pass time was working on cars with his family and friends. He was a “jack of all trades” and enjoyed helping others whenever he could.
He is survived by his sisters Lorena Cook of Vermont and Marie Nichols and her husband Robert of Kingston, MA. He is also survived by 15 nieces and nephews, as well as many cousins and great nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Edmund Vezina and his wife Joan, and was predeceased by one nephew.
It was the wish and desire of Richard to omit any funeral service; however we do want to welcome family and friends to say goodbye.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours to be held Tuesday May 7 from 6-8 PM in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth St. (Rte. 58 @ the rotary) Whitman.
