Margaret Rose, 86, of New Bedford died April 28, 2013 at St. Luke's Hospital surrounded by her loving family after a brief illness.
Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Antone and Margaret (Burke) Rose, she lived in New Bedford all of her life.
She was formerly employed by Acushnet Company for many years until her retirement.
She enjoyed traveling to Boston and Cape Cod.
Her Family would like to thank the staff at the Cedars Assisted Living for the excellent care that Margaret received while living there.
Survivors include her sister, Alice Stott and her husband Harold of Dartmouth; a sister-in-law, Mary Rose of New Bedford; her niece and caregiver, Debra Peltier, and nieces, Kathy Bergeron, Sandra Boucher and Carol Onofrey.
She was the sister of the late Edward Rose and Robert Rose and the aunt of the late Robert Souza.
Funeral from the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford Thursday, May 2nd at 8 AM. Funeral Mass at Holy Name of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church at 9 AM. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery. Visiting hours will be on Wednesday, May 1st from 4-7 PM.
