Kathryn Rena Underwood Waldrop, 90, of Pelzer, South Carolina, formerly of Omega, died Sunday, April 28, 2013, at the Rainey Hospice House in Anderson, South Carolina. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Monday, April 29, 2013 at Sullivan-King Mortuary Chapel in Anderson, South Carolina. Pastor Chuck Hill will officiate. Interment will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 1, 2013, at Oak Ridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday, April 29, 2013, from 3:00 p.m. until the hour of the service at Sullivan-King Mortuary in Anderson, South Carolina.
Mrs. Waldrop was born on February 18, 1923 in Brooks County and was the daughter of Henry Burns and Sarah Cornelia Jones Underwood, both deceased. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Jack Waldrop, three brothers and three sisters. She was a former member of Omega Baptist Church and was currently a member of Anderson Christian Fellowship.
Mrs. Waldrop is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, David and Lana Waldrop of Pelzer, South Carolina and Jack Dennis and Barbara Waldrop of Acworth; two granddaughters and their husbands, Emily Harlow-Curtis and husband Dell, and Faith Waldrop Davenport and husband Marcus; and two great-grandsons, Ethan David Harlow-Curtis and Nathaniel Henry Harlow-Curtis.
