Obituary

James M. Keohane passed away on April 28, 2013. He was 77 years old.

Jim was a lifelong resident of Malden and the former Chief of Police for the Malden Police Department. He graduated from Malden Catholic High School in 1953 and served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. Jim was a past member of the Irish American Club in Malden and an avid Notre Dame Fan. He was proud of his Irish heritage and loved to listen to Irish music.

Jim was the devoted husband of 50 years to the late Carol (Duffy) Keohane. He was the beloved father of James Keohane of Malden, Carol Buckley and her husband Stephen of Salem, NH, Andrea Keohane of Malden and Michele Archibald and her husband Randy of Wakefield. Jim was the brother of the late Marie Ahearn and Michael Keohane. He was also the cherished grandfather of 11 grandchildren.

The funeral will be held from the A. J. Spadafora Funeral Home, 865 Main Street, Malden on Wednesday, May 1st at 8:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in the Immaculate Conception Church, 600 Pleasant Street, Malden at 9:00 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours are Tuesday, April 30th from 4-8 p.m.

Interment will be in Forest Dale Cemetery, Malden.
