James Ralph Walker, 57, of Tifton died Sunday, April 28, 2013, at the Medical Center of Central Georgia in Macon. Memorial services will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, May 3, 2013, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. A eulogy will be given by Timothy Isaiah Walker with a private burial to be held at a later date.
Mr. Walker was born on April 10, 1956 in Bainbridge and was the son of Ralph Lamar Walker and Thelma Bailey Walker, both deceased. He was a self-employed construction worker and enjoyed fishing, collecting knives and spending time with his kids. He had lived in Tifton his entire life.
Mr. Walker is survived by three sons and one daughter-in-law, Joshua Walker of Lenox, Timothy Walker and fiancé Whitney Wetherington of Tifton and Frank Walker of Wichita, Kansas; two daughters and sons-in-law, Shawana Walker and Chris Cook of Tifton and Starla and Wesley Hartsfield of Ocilla; five brothers and one sister-in-law, Timothy Walker and Tommy Joe Walker, both of Tifton, Donnie Walker of Wichita, Kansas, Lamar White of Kansas and Steve and Jayla Dorsey of Tifton; one sister and brother-in-law, Judy and Stanley Harrell of Tifton; sixteen grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
