Obituary

Michael Enetzelis, 74, of Worcester, died Friday, April 26th in UMass Memorial Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Maria (Sotiropoulos) Enetzelis,; two daughters, Lola Samaras and her husband, Thomas, Georgia Flynn and her husband, Dennis all of Worcester; two brothers Ilias Enetzelis and his wife, Daphne of Worcester and Dimitris Enetzelis and his wife, Zoi of Hrisohorafa, Greece; two sister Dimitra Kourtidis of Melbourne, Australia and Maria Lafasandis and her husband, Christos of Halkediki, Greece; four grandchildren, Joy and Antonios Samaras and Alyssa Maria and Christina Flynn; and many nephews and nieces here and in Greece and Australia.
He was born in Hrisohorafa, Greece the son of Christos and Theodora (Tasoudis) Enetzelis. Mr. Enetzelis had been employed by the Norton Company and its successor St. Gobain for 25 years before retiring in 2002. He was a member of St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Cathedral and the Cultural Center Hrisohorafiton, Alexander the Great. Michael was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle who enjoyed time spent with his family, especially his grandchildren; and also enjoyed gardening.
His funeral is Tuesday, April 30th from O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue with a service at 10:00 a.m. in St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 102 Russell Street. Burial will follow in Hope Cemetery. Calling hours are Monday, April 29th from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
