Ruth A. (Bechard) Forbes died at age 96 on Friday April 5, 2013 in Silver Spring, Md. Born on December 27, 1916 in Quebec, Canada she had been a resident of Silver Spring, Md. since 2007. She was a graduate of Commerce High School in Springfield, Ma. and worked as a bookkeeper for many years. She was a member of Council of Christian Women and a Lifetime Member of 'The Ladies of the former St. Anne, St. Thomas Aquinas Parish, Springfield, Ma. She is predeceased by her husband Wilfrid J. Forbes, Jr. (2004). She leaves a son, Richard J. Forbes and daughter-in-law, Evelyn B. Forbes of Ocala, Fl., a daughter Jeanne M. Millett of Milford, Ct., a daughter Judith Forbes-Hennig and son-in-law Lake Hennig of Silver Spring, Md., five grandchildren, and three great grandchildren, as well as a sister, Yolande Martin of Manchester, Ct. A Memorial Service will be held on Wed May 1, 2013 at 11:00 AM in St Rose de Lima Church 600 Grattan St. Chicopee with burial to follow in St Michael Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, Tn. 38105.
