Nancy (Field) Ahlquist, age 93, passed away at her home surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday April 24, 2013. She was the wife of the late Richard G. Ahlquist. Nancy is survived by her 2 children, Maija Ahlquist and her husband Keith Sargent of Abington and Allan Ahlquist and his wife Nancy Fraser of Quincy. She also leaves her brother Robert E. Field of Hanover, NH and many nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews.
Nancy was born in Toronto, Canada, grew up in Ohio, moved to Weymouth in 1945 and has lived in Abington for the last 5 years. She worked for M.I.T. from 1945 until her retirement in 1985. Nancy was a Girl Scout Troop Leader for many years in Weymouth and loved camping and gardening.
Visiting hours will be at the C. C. Shepherd Funeral Home, 134 Pleasant St. (Columbian Sq.) S. Weymouth on Saturday, April 27 from 2 to 6 P.M. The Funeral Service will be private.
