Obituary

Robert R. Lachance 79, of Summer St. died Tuesday at home. He was the husband of Constance (Benjamin) Lachance. Mr. and Mrs. Lachance would have celebrated 56 years of Marriage, April 27, 2013. Born in Woonsocket he was a son of the late Oscar and Victoria (Chaput) Lachance. Robert worked as a milkman for the former Ideal Dairy for ten years. He retired form Edgecomb Metals as a foreman after twenty years of employment. Bob was a Korean War Army Veteran.

Besides his wife he leaves a son, Robert Lachance Jr. and his wife Joyce of Derry, NH; four daughters, Anne-Marie Bishop and her husband David of Burrillville, Jo-Anne Lachance of Blackstone, Judith Lachance of Woonsocket, and Tracie Snell and her husband Wayne of Havelock, NC; two sisters, Lillian Auger of N. Smithfield, and Muriel Moretti of Bellingham; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He was also the brother of the late Fernand, Gerard, Roland, Raymond, Marcel, and Roger Lachance, Lucille Picard, Theresa Lacroix, and Georgette Morvan.

His funeral will be held Saturday at 9:00 AM from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 463 South Main St. Woonsocket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in St. Charles Church, North Main St. Woonsocket. Burial with Military Honors will follow in St. Charles Cemetery in Blackstone. Visiting hours are Friday 4-8 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations to Salmon VNA and Hospice, 37 Birch St. Milford, MA 01757 in his memory would be appreciated.
