Mrs. Anita T. Gubellini, a longtime Wilmington resident passed away peacefully with her family by her side on April 20th, at the Woodbriar of Wilmington Nursing Home. She was the beloved wife of Carlo E. Gubellini and together they shared more than 62 years of marriage. Born in Dracut she was the daughter of the late Elzear and Josephine (Lamoureaux) Dionne.
Mrs. Gubellini has been a resident of Wilmington for many years. Following her husband's retirement together they moved to Vero Beach, FL where they lived for twenty years prior to returning home to be closer to family. Mrs. Gubellini was mostly devoted to her family and always enjoyed and looked forward to hosting the family for the holidays and different family celebrations. She was a wonderful cook and her home was always a warm and inviting place for family and friends.
In addition to her late parents, Mrs. Gubellini is predeceased by her son, the late Eric J. Gubellini.
She is survived by her daughters, Marcella Sweet of Wilmington, and Lisa Esposito and her husband Mark also of Wilmington. She was the loving grandmother of Michael Sweet, Daniel Sweet and his wife Sarah, Celeste Scifo, Joseph Esposito and Nicole Gubellini and was the loving great grandmother of Cynthia Scifo. She is further survived by her stepsister, Denise Aggott of Lowell.
A funeral mass will be celebrated in St. Thomas of Villanova Church, 126 Middlesex Ave, Wilmington, Friday, April 26th, at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Services will conclude with inurnment at Wildwood Cemetery, Wilmington.
