Obituary

James G. Hanley died suddenly in Ireland while on vacation with his wife, Annette on Friday, April 19th, 2013.

He was born in Lawrence on December 26th, 1948 and was the son of the late James E. Hanley and Julia Maloney Hanley. He was a life long resident of Lawrence and Saint Patrick's Parish.

He was educated in Saint Patrick's School, Central Catholic High School, Boston College and New York University. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and after his honorable discharge worked for the Federal Government in the Veterans Administration in Boston and Manchester, N.H.

Jim is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Annette, his sisters Rosemary of Lawrence, Dorothy Bowen of Melrose, his brother John and wife Margaret of Methuen and many nieces and nephews.

He enjoyed traveling, all sports, but most especially BC football and golf.

His funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, April 26th, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. In Saint Patrick's Church in Lawrence, M A. Burial will follow in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Lawrence, MA.
