Obituary

Louise Lynch, 92
Dateline: Norton, MA

Louise (Tobin) Lynch, age 92, of Norton, formerly of Roslindale, died on Monday, April 22, 2013. After more than a decade's journey through diabetic vascular dementia, she remained loving and sweet to the end; she embodied the selfless mother - her family, including her nieces and nephews, were the center of her life.
She will be remembered for her civic involvement, integrity, kindness and dedication to others. Her friends knew her best for her sense of humor, intellect, ability at Scrabble, and her loyalty and generosity: including driving those in need to Boston hospitals - often in the middle of the night.
Daughter of the late Harry and Elizabeth(Zottoli)Tobin, wife of 49 years of the late William J. Lynch, mother of Joseph W. Lynch of Norton, who was selflessly devoted to her - rarely missing a day visiting our mother during her 12 years at Tower Hill in Canton; Elizabeth L. Baldini (James L.) of Milton, Susan L. Palanza of East Falmouth and Stephen A. Lynch and (Michelle Faubert) of Brant Rock. Sister of Robert H. Tobin and the late Albert G. Tobin (Rita T.), all of Brant Rock. Grandmother of 14: Matthew J., Gina Louisa, and J. Damien Palanza, Cassandra P. Gaudin, Hilary P. McAuley, Angela L. Albanese, Stephen A. Lynch Jr. ,Thais O., Yasmin X., and Rory Tobin Baldini, Adam, Jonathan, Ashley, and Heather Faubert. Great-grandmother of 15 - Jake, Dante, Sofia, Thomas, Gavin, Dario, Emiline, Cecilia Louise, Maya, Alexis Louise, Sydney, Hope, Grace, Brody, and Ella.
Graduate of Girl’s Latin-1939 and Boston Clerical-1941; U.S. Army Dept. of Ordnance - WWII; Louise was an administrator at Norton Head Start; in development at Wheaton College; a self-employed accountant; as Treasurer of the Norton Public Library for more than 25 years, one of Louise’s proudest moments - wearing a hardhat, shovel in hand - was the groundbreaking for the new library. In 2002, the Norton Town Report was dedicated to her. Member of Norton Historical Society, Norton Catholic Women’s Club.
