Beauford Edgar Goode, 69, of Fernandina Beach, Florida passed away peacefully from this earth and went home to be with his Lord on Monday, April 22, 2013.
Beauford was born to Edgar and Ethel Goode in Saulsville, West Virginia on January 16, 1944. Beauford and his wife Bonnie moved to Fernandina Beach in 1966 where he was employed by Container Corporation (RockTenn) for 47 years. He enjoyed his work as a Pulpmill/Woodyard Process Manager. Beauford was an active member at the Fernandina Beach Church of Christ where he lead Life Group bible lessons and other ministries throughout the years.
Beauford is survived by his children, Tonya Vincent and her husband Rusty, David Goode and his wife Adonna, Kimberly Bennett and her husband Eddie; five grandchildren, Melissa and Brandon Vincent, Wesley Goode, Austin and Ansley Bennett; his brother George Darryl Goode and his wife Deelene; his sister in-law Joyce Burns of Portland, TN as well as his nieces and nephews.
Beauford was preceded in death by the love of his life Bonnie Burks (Goode); they were married 46 years as well as his brother, Elvan Goode, and his sister, Dorothy Goode Lee.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 25, at the Fernandina Beach Church of Christ, 1005 South 14th St., Fernandina Beach, FL with Minister Craig Williams officiating. The family will receive friends for visitation from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at the church. Interment will follow in the family burial estate at Green Pine Cemetery, 96281 Green Pine Road, Yulee, FL.
