WAREHAM — Marcia C. (Crichton) Wing, 88, of Wareham and for many years a resident of West Yarmouth and Sandwich, died Wednesday, April 17, 2013, at the Tremont Rehabilitation and Skilled Care Center after a period of declining health. She was the wife of the late Richard L. Wing who died March 6, 2013.
The daughter of the late Harold and Minnie (Knaver) Crichton, she was born in Reading, Pa., and was a graduate of Penn State and Harvard University. For many years she worked in the education field and taught in Westchester, N.Y., and Paris. She loved to travel throughout Europe with her husband and enjoyed spending time with her daughter and grandchildren.
Marcia is survived by her daughter, Deborah Wing of the Bronx, N.Y.; and her two grandchildren, Daniel and Emma.
Visitation will take place on Monday, April 22, from 10 to 11 a.m. in the Wilson Chapel, 479 County St., New Bedford with a service at 11 a.m., followed by burial in South Dartmouth Cemetery.
