Cecelia H. (Myers) O'Neil, 81, of Manchester died April 19, 2013 at the Lahey Clinic in Burlington, MA surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Dover, NH on May 28, 1931, the daughter of James and Marion (Tapscott) Myers. She was raised in Manchester and was educated in the local school system. Cecelia married her high school sweetheart Denis F. O'Neil Sr. on January 16, 1954 and they shared a wonderful 65 years together.
She will be remembered as an extremely supportive wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who cherished her time with family and friends. Above all else, family was truly her pride and joy.
Celia's love for "late afternoons" on the beach brought her great solace during the peaceful moments and utter joy when shared with the bustling kids. An incessant supporter of her family's athletic endeavors, Celia had a visible and constant presence at all of their events. At the same time, she took significant interest in the seemingly trivial details of their daily lives. To her, everyone's day had importance. In addition to her love for family, Celia treasured her lunches with "the gals" and her time with those from the LAOH.
