Catherine R. (Breault) Ricketson, 94, of New Bedford died Friday April 19, 2013 at Sacred Heart Home. She was the wife of Howard E. Ricketson and the late Henry D. Carney.
Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Joseph E. and Anna (Hobin) Breault, she lived in New Bedford all of her life.
She was a communicant of Holy Name of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish.
Mrs. Ricketson was formerly employed as a secretary for Revere Copper & Brass for 30 years.
Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Catherine Carney Webber of Salem, Oregon and and Maureen Scully Perry and her husband Bob of East Taunton; five grandchildren, Michael, Patrick, and Daniel Scully, and Craig Timothy and Melissa Butler; eleven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was the mother of the late Janet R. Butler, mother-in-law of the late Craig F. Butler, grandmother of the late William Carney Webber, and sister of the late Irene Ste. Marie.
Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10 AM at Holy Name of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 8:30-9:30 AM at the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford prior to the Funeral Mass.
