Catherine M. Tousignant 89, of Third Ave., died Tuesday at home. She was the wife of Richard R. Tousignant. Born in Wrentham, MA, she was the daughter of the late Frank E. and Mary I. (Babneau) Proteau. Catherine was a CNA for Medfield State Hospital for twenty nine years before retiring twenty four years ago.
Besides her husband she leaves eight children, Linda Pendergast of N. Smithfield, Harry Thompson, Clifford Brooks, Thurla Belisle, and Tammy Richardson all of Woonsocket, Linwood Brooks of Manville, Suzanne Atteridge of Davenport, Fl, and Timothy Brooks of E. Douglas, MA, and a brother Robert Proteau, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She was also the mother of the late Jerome Brooks and sister of the late Philip and William Proteau.
Visiting hours will be held Sunday April 21th from 4-7 PM at the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 463 South Main St., Woonsocket, with a service at 7:00 PM in the funeral home. A private burial will be held at a later date.
