Paul F. Twomey, age 61, of Saugus, died April 17 at his home after a lengthy illness. Born in Portland, Maine, he was the son of the late Paul P. and Margaret Mary (McDonnell) Twomey and the husband of Regina (Kmiec) Twomey with whom he shared 31 years of marriage.
He was a graduate of Bronxville High School in NY, attended Dartmouth College and graduated with a Bachelor Degree from Fordham University and received his Master's Degree at Webster University. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps for six years as a Lance Corporal. Paul was a Warehouse Manager for the Service Merchandise Company until its closing. He was a communicant of the former St. Michael's Church. He was a Life Member of the Polish Legion American Veterans, Post 56 Lynn and served as Post Commander and also Dept. of Mass State Commander. He was a Veteran of the Year in 1997. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Vallodolid 70.
Besides his wife, he is survived by one brother, Mark M. Twomey of Berwin, PA, Nancy T. Nicholson, Hamilton, and Patricia T Mahoney of Sudbury. Several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Service Information: Relatives and friends are invited to attend memorial services in the NADWORNY FUNERAL HOME, 798 Western Ave., Lynn, on Saturday at 11 a.m. Interment will be held at a later date. Visiting hours will be before the service from 9 a.m. to 11. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Scleroderma Foundation, 89 Newbury St., Ste 201, Danvers, MA 01923-1075.
