Obituary

WEBSTER – Gerard A. “Jerry” Fournier, 82, formerly of Southbridge, died Sunday, April 14 at Lanessa Extended Care after an illness.
He leaves his wife of 20 years Nancy (Johansen) Fournier. He also leaves 6 children, Karen Bourassa and her husband David, and Linda Rodriguez, all of Southbridge, Charles Fournier and his wife Marisol of Leominster; Donna Naas of Menlo, CA, Brenda Daverin and her husband Robert, and Jill Woods, all of Redwood City, CA; 11 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; his former wife, Patricia (Leveille) Fournier of Southbridge; a brother, George Fournier of Lakewood, CA; 3 sisters, Lucille Stelmach and Jeanne Stelmach, both of Oxford and Anne Levesque of Springfield; nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by a brother, Lucien Fournier of Arizona.
He was born in Millbury and raised in Southbridge, a son of Lucien and Olive (L’Homme) Fournier. He graduated from Cole Trade School. He lived in Southbridge and Nashville, TN before moving to Webster 2 years ago.
He was an Air Force veteran of the Korean Conflict.
Mr. Fournier was first a machinist at the American Optical Company in Southbridge. He then worked in construction in Tennessee.
No funeral services are planned. There are no calling hours. Donations in his name may be made to Lanessa Extended Care Patient Activities Fund, 751 School Street, Webster, MA 01570. Arrangements are under the direction of Scanlon Funeral Service, 38 East Main St., Webster.
