WORCESTER-Evelyn (Vrountas) Kazis, 100, of 26 June Street died Saturday, July 31st in her home. Her husband John P. Kazis died in 1983. She leaves 2 daughters, Katharine Kazis with whom she lived and Patricia I. wife of George Alexander of Worcester, a grandson, Dr. Michael G. and his wife, Nikki Alexander of Winnetka, IL and 2 great-grandchildren Christina and Foster Alexander both of Winnetka, IL. A sister, Argyro Kalomiris predeceased her.
She was born in Vamvakou, Greece the daughter of Vangelis and Demetra (Fotou) Vrountas and came to the United States in 1922. She was a member of St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Cathedral, it’s Seniors Group and the Ladies Philoptochos Society.
Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue is directing arrangements.
