BOSTON — Linda Anderson, age 62, of Fairhaven, died Saturday, April 13, 2013, at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston. She was the beloved companion of Thomas Wojcik.
Born in New Bedford, she was the daughter of the late Olaf and Hattie (LeBaron) Anderson and lived all her life in this area. Linda was a graduate of Dartmouth High School and studied for her Associates Degree at LaSalle College. For many years she has been the Administrative Assistant to the Superintendent of the Freetown-Lakeville school district.
She especially enjoyed camping trips, crocheting and sharing her creations with family and friends. She was an avid Red Sox fan and also enjoyed reading, gardening and spending time with her dog Guinness.
In addition to her beloved companion Thomas, she is survived by her brother Francis Anderson and his wife Lorraine of Sanford, Maine; her sister Marilyn Miner of San Rafael, Calif.; nieces Lee Francis of Dartmouth, Lyn Freeman and her husband Paul of Wrentham, Ma., Heather DeFigueiredo and her husband Frank of Dartmouth; her nephew Norman Anderson and his wife Lauri of Westport; and nieces, nephews and cousins.
Linda was predeceased by her brothers Norman and Earl Anderson and her sister Phyllis Mahoney.
Visitation will take place in the Wilson Chapel, 479 County St., New Bedford, on Thursday, April 18th, from 5-8 p.m. Services will be at the funeral home on Friday at 10 a.m., followed by burial in River-side Cemetery in Fairhaven.
