Brian L. Walsh, a lifelong resident of Melrose, entered into eternal life on Thursday, April 11, 2013 at Life Care Center in Stoneham after an extended illness. He was 49 years old.
Brian was born in Melrose on December 10, 1963, a son of Gerald L. Walsh and Carole J. (Hartnett) Walsh. He grew up in Melrose where he attended Melrose Public Schools and graduated from Melrose High School in 1982. He enlisted into the United States Navy on June 24, 1982 and served his country with honor and pride while working as a mechanic on jet engines during the Kuwait, Lebanon and Granada engagements. He was discharged on June 23, 1986 with the rank of Aviation Machinist Mate, Third Class. Brian worked as a manager at Standard Electric in Wilmington for many years. Brian enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and was an avid Patriots fan.
Brian is the loving son of Gerald L. Walsh and Carole J. (Hartnett) Walsh of Melrose. He is the devoted brother of Christopher Walsh and his wife Darlene of Salisbury and Noreen Livolsi and her husband Ronald of Bridgewater. He is the loving uncle of Rachel and Jonathan Livolsi both of Bridgewater. He is also survived by many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
