Westport – Lorraine E. (Boule) Emond, 76, of Westport died Tuesday, August 3, 2004, unexpectedly at home. She was the widow of Gerald L. Emond.
She was born in Fall River, daughter of the late Osias and Marie (Lagueux) Boule, and had resided in Westport for over 50 years. A graduate of Jesus Mary Academy in Fall River, she was co-founder of Emond Water Systems, Inc. of Westport. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Grace Church, Westport, where she was an organist for 20 years.
Mrs. Emond was a member of the Friends of St. Anne’s Hospital in Fall River, where she was a volunteer in the registration department for many years, Our Lady of Grace Senior Citizen Club, and Our Lady of Grace Ladies Guild Society. She was a former member of the Allegro Glee Club of Fall River. She was an avid Boston Red Sox fan and scrabble player.
She is survived by 3 sons: David G. Emond of Tiverton, RI, Ronald J. Emond of Little Compton, RI and Paul D. Emond of Somerset; 3 daughters: Suzanne M. Vrona of Dartmouth, Vivian C. Gauthier of Swansea and Claudette M. Aubin of Fall River; a sister: Yvette L. Rousseau of Westport; 11 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be from the Potter Funeral Home, 81 Reed Road, Westport, Friday at 9:00 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Grace Church, Westport at 10:00 A.M.
Calling hours Thursday 4 – 8 P.M.
Interment in Notre Dame Cemetery, Fall River.
