Dorothy V. Lee, 82, of Whitman, passed away, surrounded by her loving family on Saturday April 13th in the Kindred Hospital, Stoughton.
She was born in Boston, grew up in South Boston and Dorchester. Dorothy was the daughter of the late Michael F. and Catherine (Arrigal) Lee.
Dorothy has been a resident of Whitman for more than 50 years. She worked for a meat packing company as a machine operator in her younger years and was very active in her retired years.
She enjoyed being with her family that she was very close to.
Dorothy is survived by her devoted nephew Stephen Pittman and his wife Marge of Pembroke, as well as many nieces, nephews, great and great-great nieces and nephews, her loving sister-in law Marie Lee of Whitman She was also the sister of the late John, Joseph and Michael Lee, Barbara Pittman and Catherine Neitche.
Her services will be held on Wednesday April 17th at 11:00AM in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth St (RTE 58 at the rotary circle) Whitman. Her burial will follow in the St. James Cemetery, Whitman. Visitation will be held one hour prior to her service from 10-11.
