Obituary

FRAMINGHAM: Stephen Edward “Fireball” Guy, age 53, of Framingham, died early Friday morning, April 12, 2013, at the MetroWest Medical Center in Framingham. He was the devoted husband of Kimberly A. (Houle) Guy.

Born in Framingham, he was a son of the late Edward and Mary Lou (Restelli) Guy. Stephen was raised in Ashland and began playing hockey as a youngster. He continued to play well and one summer was thrilled to be able to go to the Bobby Orr - Mike Walton Sports Camp for Boys. After attending the Joseph P. Keefe Regional Technical High School, he was employed with Franny’s Landscaping for over twenty years. He had been battling liver disease for the past nine yeas.

Fireball and Kim have been together since June of 1997, and made their home in Framingham. They very much enjoyed their time together, whether taking a day trip, flying across country or just staying at home. He never tired of being outdoors working in his yard and he was a great pal to his dogs, Brutus and Spikey, and his cat Rocky.

He is survived by Kim; a daughter, Ashleigh M. Guy of RI; a stepson, Joshua T. Smith of Framingham; twin sisters, Karen Palinkas of Douglas, and Kathy Gilbert of Worcester; his father-in-law, William Houle of Brighton; brother-in-law and friend, Billy Lovett of Framingham; and many nieces, nephews and grandnephews. He was also predeceased by his mother-in-law, Marie Burrill.

A memorial service is planned for a later date and will be announced on this site. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to American Liver Foundation, 39 Broadway Suite 2700, New York, NY 10006.
