Obituary

John E. Joyce, 94, of Boston formerly of Worcester died Friday, April 12th in Milford Regional Hospital. He leaves many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by two brothers, Charles J. Joyce, Jr. and Thomas Joyce and two sisters, Ann Parker and Mary Joyce.
Mr. Joyce was born in Worcester the son of Charles J. Joyce Sr. and Agnes (Sweeney) Joyce. John was a veteran of the United States Army serving during World War II. He was a survivor of Pearl Harbor. Mr. Joyce was a clerk with the United States Post Office for many years retiring from the Boston Office. He previously worked in the Springfield Office. He was a member of St. Peter’s Church. John was a sharp card player who loved to travel and attend family outings.
His funeral is Thursday, April 18th with a Mass at 11:00 AM in St. Peter’s Church, Worcester, 929 Main Street (Please go directly to church). Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice. O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue, Worcester is directing arrangements.
