NEW BEDFORD -- Jean Wilson Anderson, 78, of South Dartmouth, formerly of Naples, Florida, died Saturday, July 31, 2004, after a short illness. She was the widow of Norman Anderson Sr.
Born in New Bedford, she was the daughter of the late Edward T. and Mary (Chadwick) Wilson.
Mrs. Anderson was a graduate of Dartmouth High School and attended Lasell Jr. College and Swain School of Design.
She enjoyed playing bridge and was a former member of the New Bedford Yacht Club, where she spent her summers sailing.
Survivors include her two daughters, Lee A. Francis of South Dartmouth and Lyn A. Freeman of Wrentham; her son, Norman R. Anderson Jr. of Westport; and a granddaughter, Heather Anderson of New Bedford.
She was the sister of the late Janet Woodacre and Ruth Blackwood.
Her memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday August 7, 2004 in the Wilson Chapel, 479 County St. New Bedford, Ma. Her private burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery.
